WAPAKONETA, Ohio (AP) - A western Ohio museum is confronting conspiracy theorists who argue hometown hero Neil Armstrong's 1969 moonwalk was a hoax.

This weekend, the Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta (wah-puh-kuh-NEHT'-uh) set up a display featuring some of the points conspiracy theorists site in claiming NASA staged the Apollo Eleven lunar landing in a movie studio.

Museum education specialist Andrea Waugh says claims that it was faked are easily debunked.

A favorite conspiracy argument is that it's impossible for a U-S flag photographed next to Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to be fluttering because the moon lacks wind or an atmosphere.

But Waugh says a horizontal bar was attached to the flag at the top to keep it from hanging limply down the pole.
