Homeschooling Banned in California as State Turns Parents Into Criminals for Teaching Their Own Children

A California appeals court has ruled that homeschooling of children is illegal unless their parents have teaching credentials from the state.

At first I was a little upset about this. I don't live in Cali and I don't homeschool.
What pushed me into the realm of incredulous indignation was this quote by Justice H. Walter Croskey...now get this....
"A primary purpose of the educational system is to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation," Croskey wrote.

"Patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation." !!
Did he mean to say " Fatherland"?
Did he turn and goose-step away after that?
Is California's school dress code gonna include brown shirts?

Since a lot of homeschoolers I know are Christians (that don't want their children exposed to whats increasingly becoming a joke called public education), I guess they won't teach "good citizenship" at home.

As I said, I don't homeschool so why am I upset?
Simple.
