Conspiracy Theories and Misinformation - America.gov

Well everyone can rest easy now.
America.gov, (the public relations arm of the State Department), has created a webpage called “Conspiracy Theories and Misinformation”.

From the site:
"Conspiracy theories exist in the realm of myth, where imaginations run wild, fears trump facts, and evidence is ignored. As a superpower, the United States is often cast as a villain in these dramas."

Now ladies and gentlemen, you can put your mind at ease as our State Department puts your fears to rest!
Here you can get the truth behind....
The JFK assassination
Depleted uranium
The North American Union
The 9/11 attacks

They have a blog called "Rumors, Myths, and Fabrications" that has titles like : Reflections on September 11 Conspiracy Theories, The Obama Birth Controversy and Lee Harvey Oswald, Lone Assassin.
Don't worry about commenting there, that function has been disabled.

They also have a slide show debunking the "It wasn't a plane that hit the Pentagon" theory.

The site also has videos with titles like Conspiracy Theories: Debunking, Conspiracy Theories: What, Why and How and Conspiracy Theories: Consequences

You can visit this "doubleplusgood" site here:

And remember....

"The mind should develop a blind spot whenever a dangerous thought presented itself. The process should be automatic, instinctive. Crimestop, they called it in Newspeak."
- George Orwell

"...loyal willingness to say black is white when party discipline demands this. It also means the ability to believe that black is white, and more, to know black is white, and forget that one has ever believed the contrary."
- George Orwell
