Stephenville, Texas, UFO Sightings Part 2

Here we go again, it looks like Stephenville/Dublin Texas is having another UFO flap.
They still call them flaps don't they?
Anyway, the "Cowboy Capital of the World" may have to change it's name to the " UFO Capital of the World".

"Dozens of Stephenville and Erath County residents have reported unidentified lights in the Texas sky this week.
Recent accounts started coming in Tuesday, Oct. 21. More sitings were reported Wednesday night and a stadium full of parents watching a Junior High Football game spotted more strange lights Thursday night."

FAA Release of Radar Data Signals a new 'Openness Policy' on UFOs

Mutual UFO Network (MUFON)Image via Wikipedia OpEdNews:
"Significant support for the testimony of multiple witnesses of a UFO seen near Stephenville Texas on January 8, 2008 came in the form of radar data recently released by the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA). Responding to a series of Freedom of Information requests by the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), the FAA supplied 2.8 million radar returns from five sites covering the area where the UFO was sighted. A report by MUFON titled, “Special Research Report, Stephenville, Texas,” provided a detailed analysis of raw data released by the FAA. The authors of the MUFON Stephenville Report, Glen Schulze and Robert Powell, stated: “data was obtained that indicates unidentified aircraft without transponder beacons which were not military jets, were found in the same compass direction and time frame as cited by the witnesses (Stephenville Report, p. 5).”"

Radar study supports witnesses in Stephenville - UFO approached Bush's Crawford ranch -- Signs of the Times News

Radar study supports witnesses in Stephenville - UFO approached Bush's Crawford ranch -- Signs of the Times News:

"A radar study recently released supports eight witness reports of an unidentified object in Stephenville, Texas, and the surrounding area on January 8, 2008.

Robert Powell, MUFON national research director, and Glen Schulze, retired radar analyst, have labored hundreds of hours analyzing 2.8 million bits of Freedom of Information Act requested raw radar data from five FAA towers between the hours of 4 - 8 p.m. surrounding the Dublin/Stephenville, Texas area.

Dozens of Erath County residents reported seeing an object or lights in the sky at separate locations and the story quickly made national and international news.

The study may make even the most hard nosed skeptic scratch his head.

The report is entitled, Stephenville Lights: A comprehensive radar and witness report, and can be fully downloaded [HERE].

And, the slap and tickle to the whole story? The unknown object was on a trajectory towards and 10 miles from President Bush's Crawford Ranch without a required beacon signal and, seemingly, without any military interest."
