Lahontan Valley News and Fallon Eagle Standard - Opinion: "I am continually amazed by the ongoing love affair people have with conspiracy theories. I'm not just talking about the nut jobs who wear aluminum foil hats to keep the government satellites from reading their thoughts, but the millions of otherwise rational people who believe in the mysterious 'They' who keep the real truth from coming out.
I'm well versed in conspiracy theories because my wife, Sandra, has never met a conspiracy theory that she didn't like. Sandra views the world from the Grassy Knoll, and from that vantage point she's able to see a lot of things that can't be seen by those of us with our feet on the ground. I'm not implying that Sandra is a whacko; she's an educated intelligent woman who is suspicious of the government, the media, history and science - pretty much anything she didn't actually see happening."
